Finding Favour tugs at the heartstrings with their new song, "Slip on By." The mid-tempo tune tells the story of an older man advising a younger man to cherish special moments with loved ones. (Watch the song's lyric video below.)

"'Slip On By' was inspired by someone special in my life, my grandfather," lead singer Blake NeeSmith tells The Boot. "We were on a fishing trip together and I noticed something was bothering him. He looked up with tears in his eyes and said after losing his wife at the age of 53 and losing his son at a young age, he has lived with so many regrets of what could've been. He said, 'More than anything, I wish I could hold my wife now. I wish I could tell my son just how much I loved him.' What he said moved me and I knew I needed to let the world in on what my grandpa shared with me."

"Slip on By" is the first single from the quartet's self-titled debut album. Blake says it's one of his favorite songs to play live.

"We have a beautiful view of the audience from the stage and at every show, without fail, during this song you'll see a husband pull his wife closer, or a mother lean down to kiss her baby. It's encouraging to us as a band, and we love the way it makes people wanna live differently!"
