Faith Hill and Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris + Linda Ronstadt Receiving Hollywood Walk of Fame Stars
The Hollywood Walk of Fame is about to get a whole lot more country: Faith Hill and Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt will be receiving stars on the Walk of Fame as part of the Class of 2019.
According to Music Row, Hill is receiving a star of her own, while Parton, Harris and Ronstadt will be inducted together, in recognition of their work as a trio. Their No. 1, multi-platinum Trio album was produced by George Massenburg; it won two Grammy Awards and spawned four hit singles. Hill, meanwhile, has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide over the course of her illustrious career.
“The Walk of Fame Selection Committee is pleased to announce our newest honorees to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Committee always tries to select a group of talented honorees that appeal in various genres of the entertainment world,” says Chairman and Walk of Famer Vin Di Bona in a statement. “I feel the Committee has outdone themselves, and I know the fans, tourists and the Hollywood community will be pleased with our selections. We are excited to see each and every honoree’s face as they unveil that majestic star on Hollywood’s most famous walkway!”
As a solo artist, Parton has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame already; she was added in 1984. Among the other country artists with stars on the Walk of Fame is Hill's husband, Tim McGraw, who was added in 2006.
Hill, Parton, Harris and Ronstadt's fellow Class of 2019 Hollywood Walk of Fame honorees include actors Kristen Bell and Robert De Niro, TV personalities Guy Fieri and Candice Bergen, recording artists Pink and Cypress Hill, and Idina Menzel and Paul Sorvino, among others. Official induction ceremony dates have not yet been revealed.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame spans more than 15 blocks in Hollywood, Calif. More information about the Walk of Fame can be found online.
