Eli Young Band Announce New Tour & a Few Surprises

The Eli Young Band have much to celebrate besides their recent No. 1 hit, 'Crazy Girl.' The country foursome have plans to spend much of 2012 on the road, including their headlining trek, the Keep On Dreamin' tour, as well as serving as an opening act for a few other artists -- but they can't share those details with their fans just yet.

"There are two other big tours that we're waiting on them to announce so that we can talk about it," lead singer Mike Eli tells GAC. "Those are happening in the summer and late spring."

Rascal Flatts have already revealed plans to take the Eli Young Band on their own still-unnamed summer tour, but that's only part of their packed agenda.

"This is the first year where we can look at our calendar and it's pretty much set, which is a really nice feeling," bassist Jon Jones notes. "It's not like we know we're going to be busy through the end of February and then hope we can pick up some shows."

The Texas-based band also plan on heading Down Under next month. "We get to go to Australia in March with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, which is absolutely incredible," Mike adds.

The two-time ACM nominees (for Top Vocal Group and Single Record of the Year), are watching their latest single, 'Even If It Breaks Your Heart,' soar up the charts. The tune, they acknowledge, epitomizes all they have gone through to achieve their current success.

"We've had this band for eleven years now and all four of us have dreamed about making music for a living since we were kids," Mike tells The Boot. "We still say it every day: 'live your dream' ... This is that song for us. It tells that story for the fans who are just discovering us, and for the ones who have been with us for a long time."

The Eli Young Band will undoubtedly all be together on February 4, when the band's guitarist, James Young, gets married. They will also head to Mississippi, Missouri, Kansas and Illinois this month. Keep track of their tour schedule here.
