Dwight Yoakam has returned to his first label home for his new record. The hitmaker has announced he has joined the Warner Brothers Records/Reprise label for his upcoming album, which will hit shelves later this year.

Yoakam has already released his debut single from the upcoming set of tunes. The 57-year-old covered Creedence Clearwater Revival's classic hit, 'Who'll Stop the Rain.'

This has been a big week for Yoakam. In addition to the release of his new single, he also made his first of several appearances in the hit CBS series, 'Under the Dome.' The singer and actor plays barbershop owner Lyle Chumley. In the first episode, which aired Monday (July 14), Yoakam showed off his singing chops by singing an a cappella verse of his new single.

Yoakam will have plenty of opportunity to perform songs from the new album this year. He is joining Eric Church on the road for select dates on Church's The Outsiders World Tour, which kicks off on Sept. 11. In addition, the Kentucky native will perform several solo shows, including shows in Sweden and the United Kingdom later this month. See all of his upcoming shows here.
