Don Henley and Dolly Parton have shared the new music video for their duet, "When I Stop Dreaming."

The video is shot in black and white and features Henley and Parton singing around a shared microphone. The video's simplistic form allows for all of the viewer's attention to be on the lyrics that make up the the sweet duet.

“I think we had about two or three takes with Dolly,” Henley recalls. “She comes in and goes, ‘I know this song; I used to do it with Porter [Wagoner].’ She sings it once, and she goes, ‘Mmm, it’s in a pretty high key for me. I guess I’ll just have to rare back and get it.’ And, boy, she did. What a voice that girl has, coming out of such a small person.”

"When I Stop Dreaming," originally recorded by the Louvin Brothers, will appear on Henley's upcoming album, Cass County, which is due out on Sept. 25. Other duets on the album include "That Old Flame" with Martina McBride and songs with Merle HaggardAlison KraussMiranda LambertAshley MonroeLucinda WilliamsTrisha Yearwood and even Mick Jagger.

“I chose people that I respect musically,” Henley says. “People whose work I respect, whose voices I like, who are all great, authentic singers who can really sing when called upon to sing. Some of them are friends of mine, and some of them I had never met before. I was flattered and flabbergasted when all of them said, ‘Yeah.’”

Cass County is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.
