Dolly Parton was injured in a car accident in Nashville on Monday morning (Oct. 21). The country music legend received minor injuries after the vehicle she was riding in was struck in an intersection.

Nashville's Tennessean newspaper reports that Parton was riding in the front seat of a Nissan Xterra traveling eastbound on Kirkwood Avenue in Nashville when a Mitsubishi Diamante driven by 64-year-old Diane Lish pulled into the intersection. The two vehicles collided at 11:41AM Nashville time, according to police reports.

Parton and the driver of the Xterra, her longtime friend and assistant, Judy Ogle, were subsequently transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. Lish was taken to Centennial Medical Center. According to the Tennessean, none of their injuries were serious.

A police investigation showed that Lish failed to yield.
