Dixie Chicks fans waiting to hear new music from the trio will just have to hang on a bit longer.

The New York Post reports that a song scheduled to be featured in the soon-to-be-released indie film 'The Lucky Ones' was yanked from the production because Lionsgate, the film's distributor, refused to pony up the cash required to secure the rights to the song. Sources told the Post the Chicks were requesting a "low six-figure number."

The trio reportedly wrote the song after seeing a rough cut of 'The Lucky Ones,' which stars Rachel McAdams, Tim Robbins and Michael Pena as war veterans returning home from Iraq. The film premiered Wednesday at the Toronto International Film Festival, and will hit theaters September 26.
