Dierks Bentley is taking his stories, and the songs that came out of them, to New York City. The "5-1-5-0" singer will perform at the CMA Songwriter Series stop at Joe's Pub on Sept. 13. He'll be joined by his collaborators and proven hitmakers Jim Beavers and Jaren Johnston, as well as host and acclaimed songwriter, Bob DiPiero.

"The CMA Songwriter series is a really cool gig," Dierks says. "Joe's Pub is so intimate and the audience is a huge part of those shows because they're so close. It's like everybody in the room is in on a secret or something. You've got four guys with guitars, telling stories and drinking whiskey ... anything can happen!"

In addition to co-penning "The Woods" with Dierks and Jon Randall, Jaren Johnston is a member of the trio Cadillac Black, which is currently opening for Dierks on his Back to College tour. Jaren also produced his tourmate's upcoming four-song EP, Country & Cold Cans, which is out Aug. 21.

Tickets for this installment of the CMA Songwriters Series -- which includes a 6:30 PM and a 9:00 PM show -- are on sale now. They are available for $40 and $35 here.
