Dierks Bentley can officially add the title of "wingman" to his already extensive resume, after setting the scene for country up-and-comer Austin Burke's unforgettable proposal to his girlfriend, Lexy Kadey, on Saturday (April 13) at Country Thunder Arizona.

It all started when Bentley, the day's headliner, invited Burke back to the stage after his opening set for a beer-shotgunning competition, according to AZ Central. The two country artists went on to perform "Come a Little Closer," a hit love ballad off of Bentley's 2005 album, Modern Day Drifter  -- and at the end of the song, Burke pulled Kadey to the stage and dropped to one knee.

Between her enthusiastic "yes" and an emotional embrace, the newly engaged couple shared their special moment with Bentley, along with the crowd.

Following the proposal, Burke shared a series of images to his Instagram, including a snapshot that captures Kadey midair as she jumps for joy. "She is literally airborne," the singer captioned the post. "Thank you for saying yes in my home state, in front of all our family and friends. Thank you [Dierks Bentley] for making this the ultimate proposal and for filming the whole thing!"

Not only are Bentley and Burke both country artists, but they both originally hail from Arizona, making the proposal an especially meaningful moment. In addition to any other matchmaking duties he's got in the works, the country star is continuing his headlining 2019 Burning Man Tour, which will extend through the fall.
