Darius Rucker took a detour to Randleman, N.C. on Monday to have a little fun for a good cause. The singer spent the day fishing and playing kickball with campers at the Victory Junction Gang Camp, which offers hundreds of chronically ill children the chance to have a normal summer camp experience.

Darius also treated the happy campers to a private show during his visit, and digtriad.com reports that he plans to return to the area in November to host a private benefit for the camp. The fall show will be held on NASCAR driver Kyle Petty's farm in Trinity, N.C. Kyle and his wife Pattie founded Victory Junction Gang Camp, in honor of their late son, Adam.
