Darius Rucker's 2016 Darius Rucker & Friends Benefit Concert featured a group of all-star country artists joining Rucker onstage to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Terri Clark, Hunter Hayes and Scotty McCreery were among those performing at the Wildhorse Saloon on Monday night (June 6), as was Charley Pride, who stepped up to sing his hit "Kiss an Angel Good Morning" with Rucker during the show.

"Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'" was released in October of 1971, as the first single from Pride's Charley Pride Sings Heart Songs album. The track hit No. 1 on the country charts, spent four months on the pop charts and charted in the Top 10 on the Adult Contemporary chart.

“He’s such an icon and legend. I know that word gets overused, but he is, because of the kind of person he is and what he’s done in the music business," Rucker told Billboard of Pride ahead of the event. "I’m blessed to call him friend, and that he would come out and do this for me.”

Rucker’s benefit concert, along with a silent auction and golf tournament, raises money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Throughout the years, more than $700,000 has been raised, with more than $220,000 raised in 2015.

“Growing up, my mother instilled in me the importance of giving back. Whether it was mowing a neighbor’s yard or helping during the loss of a loved one, it’s important on so many levels,” Rucker explained a few years ago. “Just like St. Jude, I’ve been given so much from the music community over the years, so this is one of the ways I know how to say ‘thanks.’ Not only is this one of my favorite shows all year, but it’s a great platform to remind so many of the incredible work done by St. Jude.”
