Next Monday night, Darius Rucker and friends will take to the stage of the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville to raise money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The next day, Rucker will wake up and play 18 with a different group of friends. For the fourth straight year, "Darius and Friends" begins CMA Music Festival week.

The sold-out concert at the Wildhorse will feature Luke Bryan, Randy Houser, Justin Moore, Dustin Lynch, Sam Bush, John Cowan and Radney Foster. Rucker says the concert was inspired by his trip to St. Jude in Memphis, Tenn. several years ago. The combined total raised during the three previous years' events exceeds $225,000.

Transitions Lenses and Visionworks are sponsoring the 2013 Darius and Friends golf tournament. Country names set to tee up include Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley, Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts, Colt Ford, JT Hodges, Lynch, Moore, David Nail, Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts and NASCAR driver Darrell Waltrip. J.P. Dumont of the NHL's Nashville Predators will also play.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital opened more than 50 years ago with a mission to change the way childhood cancers and other life-threatening diseases are treated. The hospital was founded by the late Danny Thomas, who believed that no child should die in the dawn of life.
