Country singer-songwriter Christina Taylor released a new single, "American Dreamin'," earlier this year, and she's put together an acoustic performance video featuring the song exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play above to watch Taylor's stripped-down performance of her newest tune.

"American Dreamin'" was written by Brooke Eden, Will Rambeaux and Sherrie Austin. Taylor released the hopeful pop-country tune in January.

"So yo, here we go, American dreamin' / Free fallin', free wheelin' / Ya judges and ya haters can't stop this feelin' / Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah," Taylor sings in the chorus of "American Dreamin'." "Somebody lovin', somebody leavin' / But it's the same blood we're all bleeding / We all still lookin' for somethin' to believe in / Y'all, it's called American dreamin'."

A Nashville newcomer, Taylor cites Tim McGraw, Eric Church and Miranda Lambert as influences. Taylor is a North Carolina native, and she recently made the move to Music City. The music video for her song "Don't Look Good in Your T-Shirt Anymore" earned her recognition as a CMT Discovery Artist in 2017, and she's also earning airplay on Radio Disney Country.

"American Dreamin'" is available for download via iTunes. Fans can catch Taylor performing regularly in Nashville at the famous Sutler Saloon, where she is currently in residency; visit ChristinaTaylorMusic.com for more information.
