Songwriters Chris Stapleton and Mike Henderson took home the trophy for Best Country Song, for "Broken Halos," at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

Stapleton, who had won Best Country Solo Performance minutes before, called it "unbelievable" to win the award with his "good friend" Mike Henderson, his long-time bandmate in bluegrass band the SteelDrivers.

“To win this with him means so, so much to me," Stapleton said from stage.

Seemingly overcome with emotion at what the win signified, Stapleton mentioned the time the pair spent touring in a van and honing their songwriting skills. Once again, Stapleton reiterated that the award “means a great deal,” and sent out thanks.

Other nominees in the Best Country Song category at the 2018 Grammy Awards included Jack Ingram, Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall for "Tin Man;" Jess Carson, Cameron Duddy, Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne and Mark Wystrach for Midland's "Drinkin' Problem;" Taylor Swift for Little Big Town's "Better Man;" and Zach Crowell, Sam Hunt, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne for "Body Like a Back Road."
