Charley Pride is working on projects for both the radio and the big screen.

Nashville's Tennessean newspaper reports that the country legend was in Music City last week, working on a new album at Cowboy Jack Clement's Cowboy Arms & Recording Spa. 'Cowboy' Jack was one of Pride's mentors in the '60s, financing his demo and persuading Chet Atkins to sign the budding star to RCA Records. He produced Pride's first 13 albums and wrote his first two hits, 'Just Between You and Me' and 'I Know One.'

The Tennessean reports that Pride himself will produce his new album. Film director Craig Brewer is documenting the process for a yet-to-be-announced movie about Pride's life and career.
