Country Music Hall of Fame member Charley Pride has been added to the lineup of performers at tonight's (July 21) White House Music Series focusing on country music.

He joins the previously announced Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss, whose performances in the historic East Room will be streamed live on the web at www.whitehouse.gov/live, beginning at 7:25 PM ET.

Prior to the performances, President Obama will make opening remarks. First Lady Michelle Obama, who is hosting the program, will be joined by White House staff and Members of Congress in attendance. The First Lady has said the goal of the White House Music Series is to celebrate the arts and the importance of arts education.

In early August, GAC will present a one-hour special documenting the event.
