Country’s Women Bring the Humor With Presidential Debate Tweets
Country music's ladies were on point during the second 2016 presidential debate on Sunday night (Oct. 9), sending out humorous tweets about what was taking place onstage in St. Louis, Mo.
Kacey Musgraves opted for a Home Alone GIF to explain her feelings, while RaeLynn's used an onstage photo of herself paired with a funny caption. Up-and-comer Whitney Rose -- who recorded the debate and watched it later -- is the winner for The Boot's favorite tweet of the night, however.
"Decided to turn off the debate," she wrote, "because if I'm gonna cry by listening to something I'd rather it be country music."
Nashville stars Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton were also among those sharing their thoughts about the debate via Twitter. Readers can flip through the photo gallery above to read more artists' debate-related tweets.
The final presidential debate is scheduled for Oct. 19. The United States’ 2016 presidential election is on Nov. 8.
