Country up-and-comer Carter Winter is premiering the title track of his forthcoming new album Temptation exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play above to listen.

A modern interpretation of the genre, Winter's "Temptation" would fit in nicely on a playlist alongside Kane Brown, Sam Hunt and Cole Swindell thanks to its hard-driving melody and electronic accents, and Winter's rich baritone. A little bit racy, the song focuses on those chemistry-charged moments that come when you've met someone new at the bar and are ready to call it a night — together.

"Baby, last call, we ain't gonna make it / This drink ain't that strong / Girl, you've got me good as gone," Carter sings in the chorus of "Temptation." "The way you're lookin' at me / Girl, you know I can't take it / That dress that you've got on, I can see it coming off / My mind's on your body, your body's on my mind / You're testing my patience, and I'm giving into temptation."

Like the rest of the tracks on Temptation, the record's title track was co-written by Winter; Grammy Awards-winning producer Chad Carlson, who's worked with artists such as Swindell and Chase Rice, produced the record. Temptation follows Winter's first full-length project, The Whiskey in Me, which he released in 2016.

Temptation is set for release on Nov. 2. Fans can visit CarterWinter.com to learn more.
