Carrie Underwood Says Religion Sealed the Marriage Deal

Carrie Underwood broke men's hearts all over the world this past December, when she announced her engagement to Canadian hockey star, Mike Fisher. The country superstar admits that religion played a key role in her decision settle down, and she credits her fiancé with elevating her Christian faith.

"Mike has improved my walk with God," Carrie tells PEOPLE magazine. "It's important to me because, down the road, I want someone who will help shape our kids into people who make the world a better place."

Mike adds, 'Our spiritual bond is something we try to put first in our lives."

Carrie and Mike have not yet revealed a wedding date, but the singer does assure it will be a "stress free" ceremony. "I don't care about details," she says of her upcoming nuptials. "I just want to show up and have a good time!"
