Carrie UnderwoodCarrie Underwood was the spotlighted star at Constellation, the grand-opening party for the ION Orchard Mall in Singapore, Malasyia, on Friday (Oct. 16).

Talking with the press during her visit, Carrie revealed that before her days on 'American Idol,' she'd never been on a plane before. "Now I'm on a plane multiple times in a week," she said, adding, "Oh my gosh, I mean, I'm in Singapore. I get to go to places I've never been to before and never thought I'd be able to see and be a part of."

The jet-set Carrie was also asked about what life is like now for the Oklahoma farm girl, and she admitted she doesn't spend as much time in nightclubs as many other young stars seem to do.

"We go to a movie or go bowling or go out to eat or something like that," she said. "We go to clubs once in a while but we're kind of boring ... we like quiet things more than nightclubs."

The singer, who graduated magna cum laude in 2006 from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., with a degree in mass communication, was also asked if a career as an entertainment reporter might be in her future.

"I would love for that to happen," she said. "Now that there are so many entertainment news stations and programs or magazines ... I can definitely see myself doing that, hopefully."

For now, Carrie's getting ready to release her highly-anticipated new album, 'Play On,' which hits stores and digital outlets on Nov. 3. The lead-off single, 'Cowboy Casanova' is rapidly climbing the charts.
