Carrie Underwood left the newly-built home she shared in Ottawa with her husband, professional hockey player Mike Fisher, when he was traded from his hometown team, the Ottawa Senators to the Nashville Predators. But now, the country superstar is returning to the Canadian capital to headline a star-packed music festival.

The Ottawa Capital Hoedown, slated for August 11 - 13, will feature three days of performances by Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, Doc Walker, Billy Currington, Easton Corbin and Justin Moore. The event, now in its second year, is expected to host more than 45,000 eager country music fans.

Carrie's return to Nashville with her husband left many Canadian fans disappointed, but Mike says it was divine intervention that brought them both back to Music City.

"To be honest, I was praying a few days before about it," Mike revealed. "I was just so frustrated and said, 'God, if you have me go somewhere, take care of it, look after it,' and He sure did that. He put me in a place I was comfortable with, and that's part of reason that this is the place I'm supposed to be and that's comforting."

Tickets for the Ottawa Capital Hoedown go on sale tomorrow (March 5) and can be purchased here.
