Terri Clark was named Female Vocalist of the Year for the fourth time at the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards on Monday night (Sept. 13) in Hamilton, Ontario. The singer-songwriter has double reason to celebrate as her latest album, 'Roots & Wings,' is in stores this week. The album was digitally released in July. Terri acknowledged in her acceptance speech that it was her first time attending the awards show without her mother, who passed away from cancer in April 2010.

"It was a little bittersweet winning the award tonight," she told reporters backstage. "She was extremely important to me. I didn't think I was ever going to win one of these again. I won my first 16 years ago."

Terri also performed her cover version of the Trooper hit, 'We're Here for a Good Time,' which is featured on the new album.

The night's big winners were Johnny Reid and Dean Brody, who took home three trophies each. Johnny Reid nabbed the Fans' Choice award for the third consecutive year and was named Male Artist of the Year for a third time. He also earned the CMT Video of the Year honor for 'Today I'm Gonna Try and Change the World,' directed by Margaret Malandruccolo.

Dean Brody, who won Album, Single and Songwriter of the Year, acknowledged that his career had experienced more than a few bumps in the road along the way.

"At one point we're living in [my wife's] parents' garage," Dean told the crowd while accepting one of his awards (quote via the Canadian Press). I was so embarrassed, was hiding out from my own friends in my own town."

Singer Michelle Wright, who had a Top 10 hit on the U.S. country charts with 'Take It Like a Man,' was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.

Also on hand was superstar Ronnie Dunn, who reportedly received one of biggest crowd responses as he walked the red carpet.
