Buddy Jewell's classic country album, My Father's Country, is finally available.

The 10-track record was released through Lamon Records, Jewell's new label. The singer signed with the company earlier this year, after meeting the label's CEO, Dave Moody, at a performance.

“When Dave first approached me, it was like he was reading my mind … it was meant to be,” Jewell recalls. “I’d been toying with the idea of doing a classic country cover project and had actually begun picking out material in advance."

Jewell was the first winner of the TV competition show Nashville Star, in 2003. He released two albums on Columbia Records following his appearance on the show, and then released two more on Diamond Dust Records. His last album, I Surrender All, was released in 2011.

“As it is with Nashville, you’re only as good as your last project,” Jewell says. “I’ve actually had to pray to God to give me the willingness to forgive some people for making some bad decisions about my career."

My Father's Country includes covers of songs by Glen Campbell, Charlie Rich, Merle Haggard and more. See a complete track listing for My Father's Country below.
