Legendary rocker and humanitarian Bruce Springsteen will be celebrated next month in Los Angeles with an invitation-only gala in conjunction with the 55th annual Grammy Awards. Named the 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year, Springsteen will be saluted on Feb. 8 at a star-studded concert featuring fellow superstar musicians, including a handful of country artists.

Kenny Chesney, Emmylou Harris, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Natalie Maines, Elton John, Mumford and Sons and Neil Young are among the acts who'll pay tribute to the Boss in recognition of his philanthropic efforts and his influence on musicians from all genres. Proceeds from the annual Person of the Year tribute -- now in its 23rd year -- will provide essential support for MusiCares, which ensures that music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical and personal need.

Springsteen joins an illustrious list of past MusiCares Person of the Year honorees, including Tony Bennett, Bono, Natalie Cole, Neil Diamond, Aretha Franklin, Paul McCartney, Luciano Pavarotti, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Brian Wilson, Stevie Wonder and more.

Hosted by Jon Stewart, the sold-out 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year event, which includes a cocktail reception, dinner and auction, takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center just two days before the 55th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony at STAPLES Center on Feb. 10. The live telecast of the Grammys begins at 8:00 PM ET/PT on CBS.
