Brett Young, who won the 2018 ACM Awards trophy for New Male Vocalist of the Year, took the stage on Sunday evening (April 15) for a performance of his song "In Case You Didn't Know." The track became a No. 1 hit after its release as a single.

Wearing a blue shirt and looking quite relaxed (especially for being his first-ever ACM performance), the singer treated the audience to the triple platinum-certified song. Young didn't try anything fancy; it was simply him and his voice, and it was a solid performance.

Prior to the 2018 ACM Awards ceremony, Young learned that he won the New Male Vocalist of the Year award via a personal phone call from 2018 ACMs host Reba McEntire herself. "Stop it! Are you serious?" Young replied to McEntire when she told him the news. "It's one o'clock here, but we're gonna go ahead and call this the beginning of the day, because there's no better way to start it."

Young has plenty to celebrate this year: In February, he got engaged to his girlfriend, Taylor Mills, and he's hitting the road with Thomas Rhett for Rhett's Life Changes Tour this year as well.
