Brad Paisley Selects ‘Crushin’ It’ as Next Single [LISTEN]

Brad Paisley is returning to his goofy roots with his newest single "Crushin' It."

The song features Paisley's signature clever, pun-filled lyrics, much like his previous singles "Alcohol" and "Camouflage;" in fact, "Crushin' It" almost verges on novelty song territory. Paisley and co-writers Kelley Lovelace and Lee Thomas Miller set out to tell the story of a man who is down on his luck but has big plans to change things up.

“Every week has a weekend / By this time Friday night / I’ll be done with my third can of cold Bud Light," Paisley sings, "And I’ll be crushin’ it / Yeah, I’ll be crushin’ it.”

“This is a moonshine jar-half-full kind of song for people who work hard and play hard,” Paisley says. Last fall, the singer recruited fans to help with the tune's video.

"Crushin' It" comes off of Paisley's latest album, Moonshine in the Trunk, and also serves as the namesake for his 2015 Crushin' It World Tour, which kicks off in May.
