Blake Shelton to Return for ‘The Voice’ Season 10

Season 9 of The Voice may have just started on Sept. 21, but there's already good news about Season 10: Blake Shelton will be returning as a judge.

NBC has announced that Shelton, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams will be back for the TV singing competition's 10th season ... and that Christina Aguilera, one of the show's original coaches, is returning to her big, red, swiveling chair.

“The coaches on The Voice continue to bring incredible energy, unrivaled musical expertise and a want-to-win attitude that makes for the perfect ingredients of a two-time Emmy-winning show,” says Paul Telegdy, president of late night and alternative programming for NBC Entertainment (quote via Deadline). “We can’t wait to see what Season 10 will bring.”

In the show's current season, Shelton will be aided by Brad Paisley, who is serving as a mentor for "Team Blake."

“He’s really been good to me," Shelton says of Paisley, "and so the fact that I was able to get him here and and advise my team made perfect sense to me because he was actually a mentor for me.”

Shelton’s winning acts on the singing competition include Jermaine Paul, Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery and Craig Wayne Boyd. Most recently, Season 8 runner-up Meghan Linsey was a member of Team Blake. Through eight seasons, Shelton's team has included four winners and four runners-up.

Shelton and Levine have been judges on The Voice since its first season. Aguilera originally served as a coach in Seasons 1-3, then returned for Season 5 and again for Season 8, while Williams joined the cast in Season 7.

The show's current fourth coach, Gwen Stefani, has been a part of The Voice for two seasons: Season 7 and the current ninth season. Other past The Voice judges include Cee Lo Green (Season 1-3 and Season 5), Usher (Season 4 and Season 6) and Shakira (also Seasons 4 and 6).

Season 10 of The Voice will begin in February of 2016. Season 9 of the show currently airs on Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC at 8PM ET.
