Blake Shelton and Shakira's relationship seems to go far beyond the stage of 'The Voice.' The two, who were judges together on Season 4 of the hit TV show, reunited in the studio last week, presumably to record a duet for the Latin singer's upcoming album.

Shakira tweeted about the session.

Later, she added:

Shakira and Usher replaced judges Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green for the fourth season of the reality TV talent show. While the 'Doin' What She Likes' singer admits he was reluctant to welcome new faces to the famous red chairs, he says it turned out being an easy transition.

“I was a little bit nervous [about adding new coaches] because I knew how well the show was doing and it was beating the odds,” he says. “We knew we had something that worked and I had never met either one of these two [Usher and Shakira] before. The one thing that you can’t fake is chemistry. I’ll be damned if it’s not as strong as it’s ever been with the four of us. I’m lovin’ it. I’m proud of that."

Shakira and Usher will both return for Season 6, along with Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Shelton's wife, Miranda Lambert, will also appear, serving as the celebrity mentor for Team Shakira.

Season 6 of 'The Voice' will premiere on on Feb. 24 at 8PM ET on NBC. Shakira's self-titled album is due in stores on March 25.
