Blake Shelton, NASCAR and a hit song -- what more do you need? The country artist will star in NBC and NBCSN's NASCAR Spring Cup Series opening video this season.

Press play on the video above to get a sneak peek at the theme, which features Shelton performing "Bringing Back the Sunshine," the title track of his ninth studio album. He's joined by several familiar NASCAR faces, including Dale Earnhardt Jr., Clint Bowyer, Danica Patrick, Jimmie Johnson and Austin Dillon; different race tracks are also featured, including Charlotte Motor Speedway and Phoenix International Raceway.

“I’m so pumped that my song "Bringing Back the Sunshine" is going to be the kickoff to NBC’s coverage of NASCAR this season,” Shelton says (quote via press release). “Over the years, I’ve met some drivers and have become friends with them, and before you know it, I have this interwoven relationship with NASCAR -- and I love it.”

Shelton's opening video will be used for the first time this weekend, before the first NASCAR races broadcast by NBC since 2009. Saturday (July 4), the Subway Firecracker 250 Xfinity race is scheduled to begin at 7:30PM ET on NBCSN, and on Sunday (July 5), the Coke Zero 400 is scheduled to begin at 7:45PM ET on NBC.

Shelton himself has a long history with NASCAR. In addition to being buddies with some of the drivers, he headlined the Coca-Cola Racing Family Concert, along with Hunter Hayes, in 2011.
