Blake Shelton Carefully Considering Marriage

Blake Shelton has been dating Miranda Lambert for about two years now and calls life with her "paradise." So will he drop down on one knee anytime soon?

"I've got an important decision to make before I would ever ask Miranda to marry me," Shelton tells PEOPLE magazine. "And that's if I'm OK with getting my ass kicked about once a month every time I make her mad. That's definitely a concern I have."

The notorious jokester was, of course, kidding. In fact, Shelton rather loves Lambert's feisty side.

"That's my favorite thing about her is her attitude," he adds.

Shelton and Lambert live in the same small Oklahoma town, jut six miles down the road from one another. They both say they prefer farm life over city life.

"[We'd] rather be at home cooking hamburgers or picking corn or something," Shelton says of choosing Oklahoma over Nashville. "It's paradise for us there right now."
