Blake Shelton Nominated for 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award
Blake Shelton might have a new trophy to add to his growing collection, thanks to his younger fans. The Oklahoma native has been nominated for Favorite Male Singer at the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
Shelton is joined in the category by Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Nick Jonas, Pharrell Williams and Sam Smith. The TV show The Voice, which Shelton has been a part of for all of its eight seasons, is also nominated for Favorite Talent Competition Show.
Taylor Swift is nominated at the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards as well, for Favorite Female Singer, and her No. 1 song "Shake It Off" is nominated for Favorite Song of the Year. Swift previously won both categories in 2010, and she won the Big Help Award in 2012.
Shelton, the reigning CMA Awards Male Vocalist of the Year, is also currently nominated for two ACM Awards, for Male Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year, the latter for his "Lonely Tonight" duet with Ashley Monroe. He will perform double-duty the night of the ACMs, co-hosting the awards ceremony with Luke Bryan.
The 28th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards will be held on March 28. No word yet if Shelton or Swift will attend the ceremony. Voting is open for all categories here.
