Ashley McBryde was announced as CMT’s 2019 Breakout Artist of the Year on Wednesday morning (Oct. 2). She’s the third-ever honoree, following Chris Stapleton (2015) and Kelsea Ballerini (2016).

McBryde, Artist of a Lifetime selection Reba McEntire and five Artists of the Year (Carrie UnderwoodDan + ShayKane BrownLuke Combs and Thomas Rhett) will be honored by CMT on Oct. 16. The 90-minute event will air live at 8PM ET on CMT from Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

"I’m so excited to share the same stage as this fantastic group of artists and am honored to be there to celebrate alongside them,” says McBryde in a press release.

Ever since the 2017 release of “Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega” and the 2018 success of her album Girl Going Nowhere, McBryde has racked up new artist accolades. She’s the ACM’s reigning New Female Vocalist of the Year, and her single “Girl Going Nowhere” won the CMT Music Awards’ Breakthrough Video of the Year honor earlier in 2019. She's also a nominee for the CMA New Artist of the Year award, which will be handed out on Nov. 13.

McBryde’s currently on the road as part of Miranda Lambert's Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour, and playing some dates of her own.

Additional performers, presenters and special guests for the 2019 CMT Artists of the Year ceremony will be announced over the next two weeks.
