When and Where Are the 2019 Americana Music Awards?
The 2019 Americana Honors & Awards ceremony will take place on Sept. 11 at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium. The ceremony is happening during the Americana Music Festival, which is scheduled to run Sept. 10-15 in Nashville, Tenn.
How Can I Watch the 2019 Americana Music Awards?
The Americana Honors & Awards ceremony won't be broadcast on television live; however, it will be streamed on radio. The show will be simulcast on SiriusXM's Outlaw Country station and on the Nashville-area stations WRLT 100.1 FM, WSM 650 AM and WMOT 89.5 FM. Additionally, a livestream video of the show will be broadcast live via NPRMusic.org.
On Nov. 23, fans will have the opportunity to relive the highlights of the show, as PBS will broadcast a special episode of Austin City Limits called ACL Presents: The Americana 18th Annual Honors.

The Milk Carton Kids will host the Americana Music Awards in 2019, for the second year in a row. Jim Lauderdale hosted every single Americana Music Association awards ceremony until last year, when the duo took over the job.
Who’s Nominated at the 2019 Americana Music Awards?
The ballot for the show's six coveted prizes -- Song of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year, Emerging Act of the Year, Duo / Group of the Year, Album of the Year and Artist of the Year -- features everyone from upstart act Yola to living legend Rosanne Cash.
Lori McKenna leads the diverse list with three nominations, for her album The Tree and the songs "By Degrees" and "People Get Old." Dave Cobb produced three of the four Album of the Year nominees, including The Tree, while John Prine and The War and Treaty are up for two awards apiece.

Who’s Going to Win at the 2019 Americana Music Awards?
We won't find out this year's main-category winners until the night of the show (but The Boot's staff members do have some predictions). However, 2019's Lifetime Achievement Awards honorees have been revealed.
Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, Elvis Costello, Maria Muldaur, Delbert McClinton and Mavis Staples will be honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Americana Music Association this year. According to a press release, Costello will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting, while McClinton's trophy will be presented in the Performance category. The Bryants will be posthumously honored with the President's Award in recognition of their songwriting contributions; Muldaur's Americana Trailblazer Award recognizes her important career contributions to folk, roots and other genres; and Staples' Spirit of Americana Free Speech Award win "celebrates her nearly seven-decade career and inspiration as an enduring pillar of hope and justice," according to a press release.
Additionally, Rhiannon Giddens and Frank Johnson will receive the first-ever Legacy of Americana Awards. The new honor was created to recognize those who have either made a lasting musical contribution or inspired art that adds to the legacy of the Americana tradition.
Who’s Performing at the 2019 Americana Music Awards?
On Aug. 26, the Americana Music Association officially announced its lineup of performers for the 2019 Americana Honors & Awards ceremony. Brandi Carlile, John Prine, Elvis Costello and Rhiannon Giddens are just a few of the artists scheduled to appear onstage. The evening's bill will also feature I'm With Her, Delbert McClinton, Lori McKenna, Maria Muldaur, Amanda Shires, Mavis Staples, Jade Bird, Mark Erelli, Ruston Kelly, J.S. Ondara, Our Native Daughters, Erin Rae, The War and Treaty and Yola. Additionally, according to the AMA, some surprise guests will join the lineup.
