The Time Jumpers have been called "the best kept secret in Nashville" for more than a decade, but that's all about to change. The 11-member Western swing band that's been mesmerizing audiences every Monday night at Nashville's legendary (and tiny) Station Inn is set to release their first studio album on Sept. 11. The self-titled project follows the group's 2007 live album, Jumpin' Time, which was nominated for two Grammy awards.

The Time Jumpers are giving fans a preview of the upcoming album with a free download of one of its standout tracks, "On the Outskirts of Town," featuring vocals by one of the band's newer members, Country Music Hall of Famer Vince Gill. Enter your email address in the box below, and you'll receive a link to get an mp3 of the song for free.

The Time Jumpers are comprised of a who's-who list of lauded Nashville musicians: Dennis Crouch (upright bass), Larry Franklin (fiddle), Paul Franklin (steel guitar), Vince Gill (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars), "Ranger Doug" Green (vocals, acoustic rhythm guitar), Andy Reiss (electric guitar), Dawn Sears (vocals), Kenny Sears (vocals, fiddle), Joe Spivey (fiddle, vocals) Jeff Taylor (accordion, piano) and Billy Thomas (drums, vocals). The band was founded in 1998 by the studio musicians who just wanted an outlet for jamming together and drinking beer! But their side project quickly gained a huge following after they started the Monday night Station Inn gigs, which have been attended by several celebrities including Robert Plant, Reba McEntire, Jimmy Buffet and Norah Jones. The shows have become so crowded that they've recently had to move to the larger 3rd and Lindsley nightclub, where you can now catch them previewing new songs from their eponymous album.
