The 2015 CMA Awards are a highlight of the country music year, and this year, there were a few surprises and also several snubs among the recently revealed list of nominees.
Randy Houser's "We Went" music video begins with a dispatcher's voice coming in through the radio, revealing that the police are searching for a black Pontiac, and it and escalates into an explosion -- and that's only the first 20 seconds!
Randy Houser co-wrote "A Man Like Me" with Jameson Clark and Danny Green and included the song on his 2010 They Call Me Cadillac album, which earned a Top 10 spot on the Billboard Country Albums chart and a Top 50 spot on the all-genre Billboard 100. When he released the song as a single in 2010, it peaked just outside the top 50 on the U.S. Country chart (No. 53). Inside, Houser tells The Boot about writing the tune.
Randy Houser's goodwill tour continues: The "We Went" singer, as part of his ongoing partnership with Eckrich and Operation Homefront, surprised another veteran with free groceries for a year.
