Randy Houser's new music for "We Went" is coming soon, and he's sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the project. Be prepared for explosions!

The elaborate music video was shot over several days, with locations varying from Tucson, Ariz.'s Casino Del Sol to the top of Mount Lemmon in the Santa Catalina Mountains. A local sheriff's department and several fire departments also helped with the production of the film.

The behind-the-scenes footage begins with director Dustin Rikert, who previously directed Houser's "Like a Cowboy" video, explaining the new clip's premise: The singer and the video's female lead are a Bonnie and Clyde-type, Robin Hood-esque couple, and they "are on the run because they robbed a drug cartel. And they've been distributing the wealth to some people in need along the route."

After their good deeds, the partners-in-crime decide to have a little fun, so they stop at the casino and rake in even more cash. But at the same time, the cartel members, headed up by William Shockey (who also appeared in "Like a Cowboy") are about to nab the couple. Excitement flares, and there's a car chase and shootout toward the end of the video.

During the clip, Houser and his band are shown playing at the top of Mount Lemmon, with gorgeous panoramic views as the backdrop. But the singer's favorite part just might be the car chase and crazy stunt.

"We're actually going to flip a f--king cop car right now," he explains with a laugh. "I'm actually not. My a-- is going to be up here."

Fans will be able to see Houser's brand-new "We Went" music video on CMT on Saturday (Aug. 1) and everywhere else on Monday (Aug. 3). And even though drugs appear in the music video, here's a secret: They're fake drugs -- flour, actually.

"We Went" is the first single from Houser's forthcoming Stoney Creek Records album. It's a fresh taste of the artist, and it's the lead single for a reason.

“I wanted to lead with “We Went” as the first single from the new record because it was so different for me," Houser says. "The song is about hanging out, a little bit of danger, running from the cops — all things I grew up doing. Well, maybe avoiding the cops is more accurate."

Houser is currently trekking across the country on Luke Bryan's 2015 Kick the Dust Up Tour, along with Dustin Lynch.
