Brooks & Dunn, Reba McEntire Make Chart History

'Cowgirls Don't Cry,' the latest Top 10 single for Brooks & Dunn was not only inspired by Reba McEntire, it also helped the duo and the Oklahoma redhead make country-music history.

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn's 41st Top 10 single puts them just ahead of supergroup Alabama for the most top 10 singles by any country duo or group. And with McEntire's inclusion on the radio version of the song, 'Cowgirls' also becomes her 56th Top 10 hit, making her the female country artist with the most Top 10s, outpacing her buddy Dolly Parton.

Both women had scored 54 Top 10 hits, and then in 2006, Parton scored her 55th -- as Brad Paisley's duet partner on 'When I Get Where I'm Going,' which eventually went all the way to No. 1.

But it didn't take long for McEntire to catch up -- with another Top 10 duet -- her collaboration with Kelly Clarkson on 'Because of You.'

The Brooks & Dunn/Reba McEntire version of 'Cowgirls Don't Cry' will be officially released as a digital single on February 10.
