Mindy McCready Returns to the Album Charts

Mindy McCready's first album in eight years, 'I'm Still Here,' puts the beleaguered singer back on the chart this week -- just barely. With less than 1,000 copies sold since its March 23 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan data, 'I'm Still Here' bows in the No. 71 position on Billboard's Country Album chart. Mindy's self-titled 2002 album peaked at No. 23, while her 1996 debut, 'Ten Thousand Angels' hit No. 5 and sold two million copies. 'I'm Still Here,' however, was the top debuting country disc of the week.

Lady Antebellum retain their hold on the top spot on the country chart with 'Need You Now.' With 78,000 copies sold this week, the trio have reached the 1.5 million mark in sales for the album.

The Zac Brown Band's 'The Foundation' stays solid at No. 2, with Taylor Swift's 'Fearless' hanging on at No. 3.

Overall, country album sales were down a total of 14 percent from last week. The upcoming ACM awards and several big, new releases over the next few weeks should provide a little more action on the charts, however. The big question: Will Alan Jackson's 'Freight Train' roll past Lady A next week?
