The Zac Brown Band shared two massive pieces of news on Friday (Jan. 13): In May, they'll release a brand-new album and hit the road for a 40-plus-stop tour.

On May 12, ZBB will drop Welcome Home, a new album that they are currently recording. Previously, the band has said that this project will bring them "straight back to their roots, Foundation-style," referring to the group's first major-label album, The Foundation. In the years since that record, which was released in 2008, the Zac Brown Band have embraced myriad styles and genres of music, but fans can expect a more "traditional country" sound this time around.

Also on May 12, ZBB will begin their 2017 Welcome Home Tour, in their hometown of Atlanta, Ga. Throughout the summer and fall, the band will play in Illinois, Florida, California and more, including a number of two-night stands at various stadiums and amphitheaters. Among the trek's stops -- a full list of which is below -- are the group's own Southern Ground Music & Food Festival, in Charleston, S.C., in May, and WE Fest 2017, in Detroit Lakes, Minn., in August.

"We’re looking forward to heading back on the road in 2017," Zac Brown says, "and sharing some new songs with our fans."

Tickets for Brown and company's 2017 Welcome Home Tour are set to go on sale to the general public on Jan. 20 at 10AM local time; Zamily fan club members will have early access to tickets beginning on Jan. 17 at 10AM local time, and American Express and Citi pre-sales will take place that same day.
