Pop-country duo SixForty1 are already turning heads in their opening slots for Brantley Gilbert, and the pair are just getting started. After fan-funding their song "Plane Crazy" in order to make the push to move to Nashville, bandmates Austin Gee and Brooks Hoffman are poised to break into the mainstream.

SixForty1 take their name from U.S. Route 641, which passes through Murray, Ky., where the two met. "It's a road that brings a lot of people together, which is what we try to do with our music," explains Gee -- but SixForty1's path to Nashville hasn't always been straightforward.
