After five years, Walker McGuire have called it quits. The duo of Jordan Walker and John McGuire announced their breakup on social media on Feb. 22.

"We regret to inform everyone we’ve decided to end Walker McGuire," the duo writes on Instagram, along with a black-and-white photo of themselves. "We want to thank everyone for their support and for following us on our journey the last five-plus years."

Both Walker and McGuire appear to be continuing their musical paths separately: McGuire's personal Instagram feed teases that new music is coming soon, while Walker's mentions a series of solo appearances as part of songwriter showcases. As a duo, however, a handful of shows are still listed on their official website; it's unclear if they will be canceled or not.

Walker McGuire are signed to BBR Music Group's Stoney Creek Records. The pair met after moving to Nashville; Walker is originally from Texas, while McGuire hails from Kansas. In September, they released their newest single, "Growin' Up," a song about the hard realities of getting older.
