Ty England, whom country audiences all over the world know as a guitarist and harmony vocalist for his college roommate Garth Brooks, and whose country hits include the Top 5 "Should've Asked Her Faster," recently married his longtime friend, Justina Cardoza, in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. The couple first met several years ago in Boise, Idaho after Ty performed a concert at the Buffalo Club. Justina and a friend approached Ty after his show as he posed for photos and signed autographs.

"I can't explain it, but I knew during that first conversation that Justina and I would become good friends," Ty says in a statement. "Sure, she was beautiful, but it was far more than that. There was an instant mental connection and I knew I wanted to know more about her."

All the way home on his bus to Oklahoma, Ty thought about Justina, so he soon e-mailed her, and when she responded, the two became fast friends, sharing stories of their lives and families, and realizing how much they had in common. During the next few years, Ty was raising his four children from a previous marriage in Oklahoma City and Justina continued her career as a realtor in Boise. But the two remained in constant contact as their relationship deepened. Whether or not he "should've asked her faster," the fact remains that Ty finally did and she said yes.

"Justina is the love of my life," says the singer-guitarist. "It was a revelation to have a relationship start as nothing more than a friendship but then turn into a love affair. I am blessed to be married to a woman who loves me, loves my children, and supports my dreams. I hope everyone will have the good fortune to find the 'Justina' in their lives. But back off, boys ... this one's mine!"

After their wedding and honeymoon in Mexico, the Englands are now settling down in Oklahoma City. Ty continues to perform concerts across the country and will begin work on a new album in 2013.

The Boot congratulates the happy couple!
