The 82nd annual 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center' tree lighting in New York City is getting a little country star power. Trisha Yearwood and LeAnn Rimes have signed on as part of the all-star cast for the live TV special.

Also set to appear during the event are Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, Cyndi Lauper, Seth MacFarlane and Sara Bareilles, Idina Menzel and Pentatonix, as well as 'Today' show anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Natalie Morales.

Country stars who have previously participated in the tree lighting include Trace Adkins and Jo Dee Messina.

This year's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is an 85-foot Norway Spruce from Hemlock Township, Pa. According to NBC, the tree is about 90 years old and weighs around 13 tons.

'Christmas in Rockefeller Center' will air live on Dec. 3 at 8 PM ET on NBC.
