Trace Adkins’ ‘Easy Rider’ Playlist

Trace Adkins has the perfect playlist to get your motor running. The country superstar rides alongside Matthew McConaughey in the new movie, 'The Lincoln Lawyer,' out this Friday (March 18). The 6'6'' singer plays Eddie Vogel, the leader of a biker gang, and makes several intimidating appearances throughout the film. "Matthew is my lawyer on retainer and tries to keep my guys out of jail every time one of them does something bad," Trace tells The Boot.
Trace considers his role to be a "nice homage" to the iconic 1969 biker film, 'Easy Rider,' and its star, the late Dennis Hopper. With that, The Boot asked Trace to compile an 'Easy Rider' playlist of his top five favorite road songs:

'Cocaine'

"That's a great motorcycle riding song, because you should do a lot of cocaine before you ride," Trace jokes. "It's a lot more fun that way. I haven't done that in a long time, but that's how Charlie Sheen does it. And he always has a goddess or two on the back. [laughs]"

"That's just a good way to ride," Trace says. "Hold on loosely, but don't let go." 'Nuff said.

"This song absolutely needs to be included," Trace insists. "It's a good one. You should just listen to that whole album while riding a motorcycle."

"That was a great song; it should have been a single," Trace explains of 'Ride.' "It just says, 'Let's ride.' I can't remember the words to it now ... I haven't sang it in three years!"
