Trace Adkins is recovering from minor surgery on Tuesday (Feb. 28) to break up several large kidney stones. Just after the procedure, he took to Twitter to make sure fans know his sense of humor is still intact. The 'Honky Tonk Badonkadonk' singer shared his progress, along with a posterior photo that leaves little to the imagination.

"@ Vanderbilt having kidney stones busted. No big deal," he tweets, along with a photo of himself in a hospital gown, with the back of the gown wide open. (See the picture here, but be warned: That link contains nudity!)

Later, the 50-year-old country star updated his more than 127,000 followers on his progress.

"The doctor said that he got 8 stones and that the procedure went well," Adkins adds. "He seemed happy. The nurse said that everything else looked magnificent. She seemed absolutely giddy! Strange!"

Adkins had just started tweeting the day before his surgery, taking over his social networking from his promotional team. To say he's having fun with the site would be an understatement.

"They said that I required an unusually large stint and that it is freakishly long," he posts, joking about his surgery. "Thank you Lord!"

Adkins and his badonkadonk will spend several days recovering at home before he heads back on the road. His next scheduled show is March 8 in Des Moines, Iowa, followed by stops in Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin. Keep track of his concert schedule here.
