Trace Adkins Exhausted With Politics

What do the presidential election and the holidays have in common? According to Trace Adkins, they both go on way too long.

"You know, presidential campaigns are getting to be like Christmas," Adkins tells Dial-Global. "The Christmas shopping season starts the first of October now. And that's kind of the way politics has become. It's gonna eventually end up being a never-ending, non-stop thing. How are people gonna govern when they're campaigning incessantly?"

Adkins has not publicly endorsed either candidate, but he did sing 'The Star Spangled Banner' at this year's Republican National Convention.
