Country singer Trace Adkins has put together an impressive filmography over the years, appearing in Matthew McConaughey's The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) and several Western movies, including Wyatt Earp's Revenge (2012) and Hickok (2017). This summer, Adkins returns to the silver screen as a key supporting actor in the sports- and military-themed drama Bennett's War.

Adkins, Ali Afshar (American Wrestler: The Wizard, Born to Race) and Allison Paige (The Flash) join leading man Michael Roark (Magic Mike, Beauty and the Beast) for Bennett's War, written and directed by Alex Ranarivelo (The Ride, Dirt, American Wrestler: The Wizard, Running Wild). Per a press release, the film focuses on Marshall Bennett (Roark), a young soldier with the Army Motorcycle Unit who survives an IED explosion in combat overseas and is medically discharged and sent back to the U.S.

When he gets home to his family farm, Marshall discovers that his dad, Cal (Adkins), is behind in the mortgage and may lose the family's farm. Against all odds, Marshall pledges to help his family by the only means he knows how: as a motocross racer.
