Ice skater Tonya Harding, notorious for her role in an attack on fellow Olympic competitor Nancy Kerrigan in 1994, is apparently taking a whack at country music.

Nashville's Tennessean newspaper reports the 37-year-old was in Music City on Thursday, recording a country song at Gene Breeden Studios.

In April 2008, Tonya was caught on video, making an attempt at Shania Twain. That is, she was at a Kansas City, Mo., sports bar, terrorizing patrons with a karaoke version of Shania's 'The Woman in Me' (at least we think that's what it was!) The effort didn't exactly land a triple axel.

Harding has also briefly tried her hand at a professional boxing career, following a 2002 appearance on FOX-TV's 'Celebrity Boxing.'

If she does decide to pursue a country-music career, we wish Tonya lots of success. Or perhaps we should just say, "Break a leg!"
