Toby Keith, Trace AdkinsTrace Adkins may have signed on with Toby Keith's label, Show Dog Universal, but that doesn't mean he sees the big dog as his boss, per se. Trace does, however, value Toby's business acumen.

"I entered into this thing because I have a lot of respect for Toby," Trace tells the Green Bay Gazette. "I'm finishing up this new record, and when I get ready to make that decision on what the first single is going to be, I'm going to sit down with him and we'll go over the stuff, because I value his opinion."

Trace says the records he's made over the years definitely reflect where he is at that point in his life, but there's one song he continues to enjoy performing in concert night after night -- 'Honky Tonk Badonkadonk.' "It's still my favorite song to do in concert, just because of the reaction you get out of the crowd. It's something I look forward to every night. I've seen some interesting dances!"

Trace's new album is reportedly shaping up to be lighthearted, uptempo fare with only a ballad or two in the mix.
