A performance at the legendary Bluebird Café in Nashville, Tenn. is a rite of passage for most aspiring singers upon moving to the mecca of country music, but Toby Keith decided to delay his premiere performance at the venue for the perfect time and occasion.

Set for June 28, the 'Bullets in a Gun' singer will make his Bluebird debut, joining longtime co-writers Bobby Pinson ('She Neved Cried in Front of Me,' 'Lost You Anyway') and Scotty Emerick ('Beer for My Horses,' 'I'm Just Talkin' About Tonight' ) for an acoustic performance to help pay down the debt the Nashville Songwriters Association International acquired after purchasing the venue in 2007.

"God blessed me to be a songwriter first and foremost," Toby acknowledges. "I remember going to writers' night at the Bluebird. It's great to have a place for songwriters to showcase their songs. It can open a door that just makes a song fly. Just one moment of inspiration and you're off. Nashville needs to keep the Bluebird alive and thriving."

General admission is $75, with gold circle seats selling for $150. The singer will play a Takamine guitar during the show, which will be autographed and auctioned to raise money for the songwriting organization.

The Oklahoma native will no doubt perform his latest single, 'Made in America,' which he debuted at the recent CMT Music Awards. The patriotic anthem is already in the Top 30 just two weeks after its release.
